I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
